January 17th, Already?

This month got off to a busy start.

Over the span of a couple of weeks we sold our house and purchased a new home. We move in less than three weeks. With a second baby on the way, we saw an opportunity to make a quick move into a slightly larger home. We were fortunate to have a fantastic Realtor, Bradley Reiter of Critchlow Realty, who worked hard to sell our house within a week. At our new home, contractors are currently working around the clock finishing the basement, including a new office for myself.

My Grandmother, Vera Fleming, passed away at the age of 83. She was an incredibly talented artist. We traveled to Port Colborne, Ontario for her Funeral. I was honoured to present here eulogy. As much as I prepared, I cried throughout the entire eulogy.

I just spent the last couple of days in Scottsdale, Arizona with seven world-class consultants including my mentor, Alan Weiss. We spent our time together discussing ways we could create even greater results and additional value for our clients. We also discussed new business growth, marketing, and personal development.

If you’re not involved in Mastermind Groups, or you don’t have a mentor, this might be the year to do it. See this article I wrote for The Globe and Mail.

We had wonderful accommodations at the CopperWynd Resort in Fountain Hills, AZ. The service was impeccable. And while we decided to meet in Arizona to enjoy some warm weather, we arrived during the coldest week on record in over 25 years.

And of course, we ate, and we ate well. We enjoyed wonderful meals at The Mission and Orange Sky.

The Mission was fantastic. I enjoyed an appetizer of crispy pork belly on lettuce topped with peanut, pickled red onion, lime, chiltepin peppers, and finished with a drizzle of a thick tar-like Coca-Cola sauce. Yes, it was out of this world

At Orange Sky we enjoyed two fantastic ’07 Brunello di Montalcinos. 2007 was a great year for Brunellos, as was 2004. My cellar currently holds at least a six Brunellos from ’04 through ’07. We also enjoyed Kobe Steaks, Oysters, and more.

In the next few weeks, I’ll be introducing some new growth and value offerings to my community including offerings to come and spend time at my new office. Will you join me?
