Today’s Tuesday Tidbit is short and sweet. I’m simply writing today to wish you a Merry Christmas and share a brief message. If you celebrate something other than Christmas than I’d still like to wish you a warm, safe, and enjoyable Holiday season – the rest still applies.

Use these last nine days to appreciate the successes and challenges of the past year. In just nine short days we’ll be right back into a new year filled with an abundance of great new opportunities! Take a quiet personal moment to remember those who are no longer with us. Show acceptance and goodwill towards others.

And finally, be tolerant over these next few days – it’s one of the greatest skills we can practice during the busy season. If you find yourself frustrated by a slow cashier, would it change your frame of mind to know that she’s working Christmas Eve to feed her children, put a present under the tree, and keep the lights on? When you want to flip off that bad driver who just cut you off, would you do the same if you knew he was on his way to see his father who just had a massive stroke? In life, we rarely know other’s circumstances. Be mindful, be tolerant, and be forgiving.

I look forward to bringing you more value in 2014. Thanks for reading my blog. Have a Merry Christmas!
