Yesterday my firstborn daughter had her first day of school.
As my wife and I talked over our morning coffee, (during the very few minutes of quiet in our house) we both were in shock this day was finally here.
Where does the time go?
It felt like it was only yesterday we were walking into the hospital, and after two very tired days – walking out of it.
After dropping Avalon off at school, I drove my other daughter to her first day at a new day care.
In a couple of weeks, I’ve got a very busy travel schedule filled with speaking engagements and client work on both the East and West Coasts of Canada, with a stop in between at my favorite city in the world, New York.
It’s easy for me to write a new business tip each week, to provide pragmatic advice, or to ask you to think about a provocative question and how it applies to your business, or company.
That’s what I do for a living.
But it’s harder, and sometimes more powerful, to step away and talk about the stuff that’s really important to all of us.
In the wise words of Ferris Bueller, “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in awhile, you could miss it.”
Today’s Key Question: Are you taking enough time each day to stop and look around?
Don’t miss it.
