We’re often told that we need to think outside the box. This is especially true in today’s tumultuous business world in which every industry is being disrupted in one form or another.
But what if instead of thinking outside the box, you simply destroyed the box?
Why put yourself in anyone else’s box?
Last week I was in NYC for the annual Consulting Hall of Fame event hosted by my business coach Dr. Alan Weiss and this one one of the main themes Alan suggested we think about during the week.
We spent the week challenging each other to go beyond thinking outside the box and simply destroying the box.
Who’s challenging you to do the same in your business?
This event is reserved for a select group of world-leading experts in their respective fields across some different industries. It reminded me how lucky I am to routinely get to surround myself with high caliber experts across many domains, and the impact that has on my company, and the value I’m able to bring to my clients.
It’s really only when you’re able to regularly discuss opportunities and challenges with experienced, brilliant, talented folks that you can find opportunities to “destroy the box” without destroying your business as well.
For this week’s challenge, I want you to ask yourself: “Do I have the right support, peers, and access to expert insights to challenge me to think beyond outside the box? Is someone pushing me to “destroy the box?””
If you think there’s room to improve on your answer to that question, then check out a few of the sites below. If I can facilitate an introduction to any of my colleagues, I’d be happy to do so.
I serve as an advisor to many of my loyal Tuesday Tidbit readers, and it might be a great and highly valuable option for you to consider. Between myself and these fantastic thought leaders, there is no reason why you can’t be getting world-class expertise to help you drive whatever growth you want in your company.
