One of the biggest things many online marketers are missing is Cross Promotion conversions.
Many of us are missing the boat and we’re missing cross promotion possibilities each time a product is sold.
In fact, cross promotion can easily result in repeat sales multiple times. Let me explain. eBay has really got cross promotion down and they make it super easy for store owners to cross promote. You can choose which items to cross promote so when a buyer purchases one item, your customer is automatically shown 3 or 4 more auctions… If you liked this item consider additional items from this seller..
See the photo below (this is a shortened version but in this case I was shown 12 ITEMS from this seller) That is 12 new possible sales!

Many times I’ve purchased new items I didn’t see the first time I browsed through an eBay store. eBay has automated the process and Internet Marketers selling products online need to do the same. It really doesn’t matter what you’re selling.
Even if you’re selling a 2 night stay at a hotel, you cross promote with 4-course fine dining dinner the night the customer arrives.
Expedia cross promotes tremendously. Have you ever booked a trip from expedia? It’s crazy, they will cross promote literally unlimited options… Things to do, things to see, things to eat etc etc..
So how do you do this with Internet Marketing? For starters, every download page (if you sell information products) should contain at 1 cross promoted product of your own and up to 5. I would avoid using affiliate links as many just get rather peeved by the looks of affiliate links. Unless you’re cloaking your links to look like, NoahFleming.com/Reccomends/ThisSoftware/ I would simply cross promote your own product.
In my own testing I’ve found that laying them out much like eBay, can increase your sales drastically. Try this on your thank you pages….
3-4 Horizontal Boxes. If you’re selling info products try and lay them out similar to eBay. If you liked this item, consider bookmarking my other products.
I ask people to bookmark since people may like to review the product first before buying again. But what the heck, you could throw "buy it now" buttons on there… You’ll get some sales.
Text Links will do to but a small photo, a small buy-it now button and a quick description or headline, will equal increased sales.
Give it a shot.
And finally, if you send thank you emails for products purchased continue the cross promotion in your emails.
"Example: Thanks for purchasing X Product. Your download link will be valid for 24 hours.
http:///www.downloadlink.com/
After you’ve had a chance to review the following product, I urge you to check out my other acclaimed products.
My first product would compliment your first purchase because….
In 2006 I released my second report, this report would be perfect for you especially since you’re interested in….."
You get the idea…..
