How many of us allow ourselves to be controlled by those around us? We all have free choice and yet so often our time is controlled by our spouse/kids/friends. We think that saying “No” will lead to confrontation, so whenever a suggestion is made we go along with it, despite silently cursing under our breath about the wasted time.

As you get older too often life becomes about the regrets over things you never managed to do instead of looking forward at how you can do them.

I can't remember who said it but “Most people are too busy earning a living to ever make money” is an uncomfortable truth. It doesn't only apply to money though. How many people are too busy earning a living to spend time to get to know their children?

Saddest of all how many people are too busy earning a living to discover what their partner actually wants out of life?

In the UK one of the commonest reasons given in divorce actions is that the man spent an unreasonable amount of time working. While he thought he was doing the best for his family, they felt they were being ignored.

Living your dream is possible, but only if your dream coincides with that of your partner. If it doesn't, you have two choices. Give up or find a new partner.

Having a partner that shares your dreams revitalizes you like nothing else can. The woulda, coulda, shouda becomes I should, I can and I will.

When you make excuses your partner gives you a little kick and you're back on track.

You are talking sound sense Noah. Best of luck finding your new direction, I am sure that following your journey will benefit us all.
