This was originally prompted by a post on Noah Flemings blog. Noah is a great guy, and really strives to excel and over deliver in every thing he does. [...]

[...] The reason for bringing all of this up is a post Noah made to his private blog a few days back, Give it away, give it away, give it away now!. In this post Noah encourages his readers to consider taking an idea they have had that they feel is a great idea, but don’t have the skills, tools time or energy to persue in the forseeable future and give it to the on line comunity as a whole.
Excellent post Noah. I think this "give it away" idea is very powerful. It communicates something quite profound to your subconscious that there is always another idea, I dont have to hoard my ideas. The more we allow our ideas to have expression, wether with us or someone else, the more we open ourselves to the possibility of more coming to us.

In practical terms how effective would brainstorming be if you tried to keep hold of the first idea that pops into your head.

I think it may have been Richard Bandler who said when asked about people ripping of his products and information "I can create more of it quicker than they can steal it". I think that if we hold on too tightly to our stuff, especially the stuff we havent acted on and most likely never will we kink the hose of our creative flow, and potentially miss out on many ideas and opportunities that might truly inspire us to take action and create our success.

I agree! That sounds like an excellent addition.
I think the thing to remember here to make this a success is a heavy pull on web 2.0 design and funtionality elements. If it doesn't work to promote, you've got an awesome developed product to sell.

Cheers

Hm, excellent idea. I'm a programmer myself, I think it will be a great new project for me. O ya, what if it's added with that goal statement thing in Napoleon Hill's Think and Grow Rich book? You write your goal statement and then it can be show up like every 1 hour or so when you connected to the net.
