The Long Version
I’m an entrepreneur at heart, and so naturally I found the world of online marketing. And what a world! I’ve paid for my house outright, developed a travel habit, and get to put all of my energy building my business and helping others grow their businesses – All without having to dread going to work on Mondays!
In 2004, I finally caved to the pressure from other aspiring Internet Marketers to work with them 1 on 1 to help build their businesses, and not long after, started working with businesses and individuals of all sorts to increase their online profitability.
Over this time, I’ve been blessed to have created, managed and sold various small Internet Businesses of my own. But I found that my real passion was in working with others, to help them achieve the success they were looking for.
Over the past five years, I’ve worked with over 500 aspiring Internet Marketers in dozens of industries, many of whom have gone on to operate incredibly successful online ventures. I’ve worked with people starting their first businesses ever, with large organizations that have been around for decades, and just about everybody else in between. My true area of expertise is working with membership/continuity programs to increase member & client retention.
Most recently, in October 2010, I decided to launch my latest business venture – TheBrewersMarket.com. Within 45 days, moved from concept, to launch, to initial profit, to being profiled in two of Canada’s largest national newspapers on the very same day. Subsequently, the business was also featured in nearly every single daily newspaper in nearly every major Canadian city shortly thereafter. Additionally, only days later, the business was featured on the front page of the popular website Etsy.com exposing our business to worldwide audience of over seven million users.
Since entrepreneurship is something so close to my heart, I want to take this space to plug Kiva.org an organization that I contribute to regularly. Kiva allows anybody to give “Micro-loans” to entrepreneurs around the globe who have that same entrepreneurial drive, but who may not be as fortunate. View my lender page here and loan with me! It’s a truly rewarding experience.
Sometimes called the “Wikipedia of loans”, Kiva takes small donations from many people in order to fund projects or business ideas from aspiring developing nation entrepreneurs, allowing them to begin paying back when they start seeing profits. It’s the purest form of “teach a man to fish” that I’ve seen, and I feel privileged to be a part of it.
